The green shoots project is R&R's youth incubator project.
We support young people to connect with each other and the natural world co-creating space for each other as a community and exploring meaning and purpose.
This connection can take many forms and is lead by the young people connected with our program as they discover their interests, strengths and needs through nature connection and recovery.
As part of this work we also sign post young people to support and opportunities to enable employment and growth in a way that is meaningful and tailored to their needs.

Working in collaboration with Plymouth University, The Iris Centre (NHS) Devon Partnership Trust and Powderham Castle, this project is working specifically with clients identified with complex trauma (a diagnosis of BPD).
Using nature based occupational therapy tools and in line with therapeutic community work, the program is designed to invite participants to connect through walking and reflecting in local parks and exploring some of the natural heritage around locally, alongside items of interest from the Castle. The final workshop will occur in the Castle grounds.
Using a person centred approach, this piece is designed to connect with people at their pace and to offer spaces to creatively explore social participation and co creation of sessions together.
A paper is due to be written up for sharing in 2024 and will be available to download from this website.
We support forces connected young people & families through peer support, advice & signposting.

The Rise Up! project invites people to celebrate and capture the essence of recovery through the creation of images, craft, poems and song featuring the symbol of the Phoenix.
Did you know that the Phoenix is the symbol of occupational therapy - a profession founded on meaning and purpose making and co creation through the use of activities (known in the profession as occupations).
From painting to walking in nature or brushing your teeth occupations in this context means any activity that a person wants or needs to do in their lives. Supporting people to live their best life their way.
To celebrate over 100 years of development of the profession Rise up! will invite those who have used OT services and those close to them to creatively contour a Phoenix in a way meaningful to them.
