Helen has 24 years experience working in and out of the NHS in Specialist CAMHS (Forensic, Deaf and JACAT teams) as well as general CAMHS, autism assessment service and paediatrics. In private practice Helen has worked with people of all ages focussing on what matters to them and supporting recovery through creative health and community engagement.
Helen is a National Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts (NESTA) awardee for her work using animation in therapy and a fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs.
Past community based Creative Health project work includes working with War Child, Royal College of Art, Aardman Animations, The Horniman Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts Montreal. Previous companies CEO Animation Therapy Ltd, (2008 – 2021) Co-founder CEO Formed Films CIC (2016).
An advanced sensory integration practitioner, Helen's recent work has focused on enabling opportunities for people to engage in therapy in the natural environment connecting through the eight senses, with nature and each other.
From simple walks and active connection with nature to therapeutic group work in forest settings, Helen believes that in Rewilding nature, we can Rewild our Health.

Tracey has managed budgets from £17 mil a year to my current £150K - and has always chosen to work for charities in the arts/discovery centre sectors.

My Professional Experience
Having worked in Child mental health services for 32 years I am now semi-retired.
Throughout my specialist career I gained a variety of experiences within the NHS.I managed two NHS Tier 4 inpatient units before becoming an NHS Tier 4 service manager in 2002.
I was part of a senior lead management team for developing CAMHS Tier 4 services and a number of associated specialist services both Locally and Nationally (QNIC).
I gained a variety of operational experience within the local CAMHS multidisciplinary community teams both as a clinical lead and as an advanced practitioner.
I worked extensively with Local schools & parents, introducing mindfulness, parenting skills & behavioural programmes, bringing mental health awareness to the forefront.
Personal Approach
My focus has always been looking at the child or young person as an individual, listening to their voice as a priority.
